Our confirmed speakers represent some of the most respected voices in sleep medicine and research.
Professor Paul Gringras, Professor of Sleep Medicine at King’s College London and President of the International Paediatric Sleep Association, is internationally recognised for his work in paediatric sleep medicine. Having established one of Europe’s largest children’s sleep centres, Professor Gringras brings unparalleled expertise in sleep disorders affecting children and young people, including autism and ADHD.
Joining him is Dr Alice Gregory, co-director of the Royal Holloway Sleep Lab and one of the UK’s leading sleep researchers. With almost 200 scientific publications and extensive work exploring the links between sleep and mental health, Dr Gregory is renowned for making sleep science accessible and relevant to professionals and families alike.
Delegates will also hear from Dr Lizzie Hill, a Clinical Scientist and Senior Lecturer in Sleep Physiology at the University of the West of England. With more than two decades of clinical and research experience, Dr Hill is helping shape the future workforce in sleep medicine and will share valuable insights into current challenges and developments within the field.
Expertise Across the Lifespan
Sleep for All is uniquely designed to cover sleep across different life stages and settings. Day One focuses on children and young people, while Day Two turns attention to adult sleep and wellbeing.
Adult sleep sessions will feature Professor Jason Ellis, Director of the Northumbria Centre for Sleep Research and one of the UK’s foremost experts in insomnia and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). His work spans both cutting-edge research and practical clinical interventions, making his sessions particularly valuable for healthcare and wellbeing professionals.
Additional confirmed speakers include Dr Eidn Mahmoudzadeh, who combines over 20 years of medical experience with a passionate commitment to sleep health education and workplace wellbeing. His perspective on tackling the global sleep crisis promises to be especially relevant for organisations seeking to improve resilience, performance and wellbeing.
Beyond Sleep Science
This year’s programme extends beyond traditional clinical topics to explore the wider influences on sleep, wellbeing and human performance.
Delegates will hear from Gemma Ridley, who leads the South Yorkshire Innovation Hub, bringing expertise in healthcare innovation, workforce development and system-wide improvement.
We’re also excited to welcome Catherine Wignall, founder of Holistically Human™ and Human But Better™. Drawing on experience in both psychotherapy and corporate transformation, Catherine explores how stress, organisational change and the nervous system impact sleep, health and performance.
Professor Ashleigh Filtness is Director of the Transport Safety Research Centre at Loughborough University and a recognised expert in sleepiness, fatigue and safety. With more than 19 years of research experience and over 100 peer-reviewed publications, her work focuses on understanding fatigue-related risks and developing practical solutions to improve safety in road and rail transport.
Rounding out the current speaker line-up is Dr Maja Schaedel, Lead Clinical Psychologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Sleep Disorder Centre and co-founder of The Good Sleep Clinic. Her expertise in sleep disorders, trauma, women’s sleep health and psychological therapies offers delegates invaluable practical knowledge that can be applied immediately in professional practice.
